Yes. Your data is protected with bank-level security standards. Here’s exactly what that means:
Encryption: We use TLS 1.3 encryption (the same protocol banks use) while your data travels between your device and our servers. Once stored, your entries are encrypted with AES-256 encryption—the same standard used by the U.S. government for classified information.
Access Control: Only you can access your journal entries. Our engineers cannot read your data. We’ve implemented strict access controls that prevent any human from viewing your entries, even for technical support. The only exception is the Sentari AI system, which decrypts entries briefly (seconds) for insight generation, then immediately re-encrypts them.
No Data Selling: We never sell your data. We never share it with third parties. We never use it for advertising. Privacy isn’t a feature—it’s built into our architecture from the ground up.
Infrastructure: Your data is stored on AWS (Amazon Web Services), which meets SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, and PCI DSS Level 1 compliance standards—the same security certifications used by financial institutions.
No. We do not store your voice recordings. Here’s the exact process:
When you speak, your voice is processed in real-time by a transcription service (similar to how your phone’s voice assistant works). The raw audio is converted to text immediately, then the audio file is permanently deleted—typically within 30 seconds. We never save the audio file.
We use industry-standard transcription services that do not train on your voice data. We specifically use providers that certify they do not use customer audio for model training. We never sell or share your voice data because we don’t have it to sell or share.
Only the transcribed text is stored (encrypted, as described above). Your voice never enters our database.
